Another goat portrait for Hoof and Horn farm. This time a LaMancha goat named Mysterious Ways.
It's a little known fact about goats that they are actually sort of...well...reverse butterflies.
A goat is actually born with very fine vestigial wings, and must build a coccoon in which to undergo metamorphasis.
They remain inside the pupa for three weeks, then emerge, totally goatful and having lost the wings of the larval form.
This picture shows the goat weaving the coccoon.
